Old Buckenham is known for its iconic thatched-roof church, charming large village green and a rich tapestry of history and tradition. Old Buckenham holds a special place in Norfolk’s landscape which is a testament to life in an English village.

As Lord of Old Buckenham, Rupert embraces a role steeped in history, celebrating the village’s architecture and natural beauty. His stewardship is not only a symbol of continuity but also a bridge between Old Buckenham’s past and its future, supporting local events and initiatives that bring the community together.

Rupert values collaboration with local residents, ensuring that the village remains a cherished location for its residents while welcoming visitors to appreciate its unique character.

As a successful entrepreneur, Rupert combines his professional acumen with a passion for rural traditions. Rupert is keen to support the village wherever possible and is happy for villagers to contact him. â€‹He envisions Old Buckenham as a place where history and modern life coexist harmoniously, honouring both the responsibilities of his Lordship and the vibrant spirit of the community.

Rupert was delighted to have been asked to become a Trustee of the United Eleemosynary Charity of Old Buckenham and has attended their meetings since his appointment in November 2022.

His Lordship has always loved English history and acquired the manors to keep them together and the role alive following in the footsteps of Terry Cracknell who lived in the village and was the previous Lord of the Manor.
